Welcome to our DEP 07-08 Mentee Wiki!

This wiki will serve as a "virtual home" for our team of 2007-2008 Mentees.  I like to think of wikis as editable web sites.  Wikis are a place on the Internet where people can interact with one another without all the hassle of email.  Your thoughts and ideas are captured in one location for all to see.  This particular wiki will provide our 07-08 DEP Mentee team with an opportunity to collaborate with one another for meetings, lessons, integration, best practices, and much more.  Another great aspect to the wiki is that you can choose to be notified by email when a change has been made.

I have been learning about the value of wikis in the area of professional development.  Prior to the DEP 07-08 wiki, I had edited a wiki page before, but never created one of my own.  I attended the Discovery Educator Network's National Institute in Berkeley, California in August and learned just how easy it was, so I decided to give it a try. 

Navigate through the wiki using the page links in the "SideBar."  You will need to be logged in to do any page editing.  Once logged in, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Sidebar" tab.
2. Click on the page you would like to edit.
3. Click the "Edit Page" button.
4. Edit
5. Click the "Save" button.
